DOES IT FIT? / SETUP NOTES

Will a monitor arm fit your screen and desk?

Weight without the stand, mounting hardware and desk construction matter more than a diagonal-size headline.

The first check is the monitor-to-arm specification match. The second is whether this exact desktop and mounting position can support the installation. A matching thickness range does not answer the second question.

Start with these published limits

Checked October 1, 2026. Single-monitor VIVO models.
ArmMounted loadScreen rangeVESAItem price
STAND-V001O4.4–19.8 lb17–32 in75×75 / 100×100 mm$39.99
STAND-V101G12.2–33 lb17–32 in regular; up to 49 in ultrawide75×75 / 100×100 mm$99.99

Use monitor weight without its stand, then add supported cameras, adapters and accessories. Counterbalance arms have a minimum load as well as a maximum. A 200×200 mm screen is not a direct fit for either arm; this finder does not assume a generic adapter.

An exact ultrawide example

Dell lists the Alienware AW3423DWF at 13.8 lb without stand, 34.18 inches, 100×100 mm VESA and 1800R curvature. It exceeds V001O’s 32-inch range. V101G1’s published monitor limits align with those measurements, but plate access, screw depth, desk structure and mounting position still need checking.

Check the desktop separately

For V101G1, the checked product copy and manual disagree on maximum thickness. The common ranges used here are 0.4–3.2 inches for a clamp and 0.4–1.4 inches for grommet mounting. The conflicting bands stay unverified; we do not pick the most generous number.

Glass, hollow/honeycomb, damaged or unknown desktops do not get an installation recommendation. Solid wood alone is not proof of concentrated-load capacity. A reinforcement plate is not an automatic safety fix.

Use an existing correctly sized grommet hole; do not drill based on this checker. Both checked VIVO manuals warn against extending the monitor beyond the desk edge. Confirm flat seating, underside clearance and the exact shipped manual before purchase.

Count the required parts

The checked manuals list the arm, clamp/grommet hardware and VESA hardware. A Phillips screwdriver is separately required for V101G1. Recess adapters, replacement screws or reinforcement are not treated as free or automatically approved. If any required part remains unverified, the complete total remains unknown.
